The founder of the brand, Roald Nore, was originally experienced in the field of furniture, textile and lastly shoe design. The wide experience among different design fields gave a unique knowledge base and an ability for him to start create shoes You couldn´t actually have a better background as a shoe designer: Roald Nore has the ability to understand 3D shapes that originates from the field of furnitures and the know-how of materials from the textile field - Factors that are important for every shoe designer to understand.

Mentor shoes was lauched in 2000. The brand started with mens shoes but soon exctented to womens shoes in 2003. All the shoes are made in Italy by talented shoemakers with several generations long roots in shoemaking.
